Chapter 2

Chapter 2

Monday morning brought grogginess, most likely due to the night time events and the lack of sleep he had received. John, went to his dresser to grab cloths, routing through his dresser next to the closet for socks, tearing up everything to find a pair that simply looked similar not caring if they matched. After finding all that he needed, grabbed the now bundle of closes for the day and walked to the bathroom across the hall. John jumped in the shower and mentally prepared for the day. Nothing else happened without a shower. John had figured this out during one of his down months. After a shower he was able the push himself through the rest of the day no matter how hard it got. Maybe it had something to due with the warm water, or the refreshing feel after you get out. Either way it helped unlike anything else. After stepping out, a wave of panic set in as his routine controlled brain immediately started to tell him that he was missing opening bell on the trading floor. John had to remind himself that he Continue reading “Chapter 2”

The Beach of Depression

The Beach of Depression

Beach
Leaving my home alone to head for the beach changed me. I had come to the beach to be alone and had gotten my wish. The boardwalk was empty besides for me, no one in sight or earshot. The earlier fight with my parents roused it’s ugly head in the back of my mind. Peering out from behind the dark corner of my brain that I worked to hard to keep down. I didn’t like fighting with my parents, but my depressed brain had other views for my future then my parents, and neither willing to compromise. I wanted help but depression wouldn’t let me. Help. John awoke in a cold sweat, the nightmare that had plagued his thoughts and muddled his mind for so many years had just resurfaced for its nightly appearance in his dreams. In fact, he had become so accustomed to this recurring dream that he had trained himself into knowing that it was a dream, in fact, he had become so numb to this event sometimes he just waited till it was over with a blind indifference. The dream was a simple one, he was laying in his bed with his back to his room facing his wall. He could feel a presence behind him walking closer. When he was younger he would turn around and try and escape from the man now trying to grab him but found it hard to move. Once the man was able to grab him he would wake up in a shock. Most of the time his covers were thrown about everywhere, and he would be shivering with sweat. Now when this dream popped up in his head he was able to clearly see it as a dream. Unable to scream, move fast or punch. So he wouldn’t turn around to greet the man instead he would wait for the cold hand to touch his shoulder so he would jerk awake. Continue reading “Chapter 1”

Bloody Morning

Bloody Morning

Morning came into the Benton’s house with no sign of forgiveness for the residents inside. It poured through the big windows by each room that seemed to be directly in sight from the bed so that there is no escape from the sun while trying to sleep. The only problem, each room was empty except one at the back of the one-story house  the master bedroom contained one occupant. John Benton, husband, and father, of the Benton family. John awoke like any other day even though yesterday’s events would turn a normal human into a blubbering pile of remorse, without any motivation to move or live. Continue reading “Bloody Morning”

A Day

This one is a little longer if you could read it though and give me feedback that would be wonderful. But if you don’t want to then don’t, I could care less.

I am awake, staring at the ceiling of my room, dark and unforgiving, my eyes adjust to the low light that comes from my right side, giving the dark room a greenish glow. Why am I up this early? The thought passes through my mind with a breeze of uneasiness of what is to come today, knowing fully what awaits me, and wishing it all away. Rolling over to my right reveals the only light blazing through my room, green and piercing as if the light is physically cutting into the darkness. 5:15 AM 15 minutes before my alarm will go off to remind me that responsibility is ahead and it will not wait. Death

Here is my first story mostly unedited, I may come back latter to spruce it up if it is just completely unreadable.

PS. It turned out a little darker than I thought it would. I didn’t change it though, to keep as much authenticity as possible.

Death:

The explosion is the last true sound that I hear, the sound seems to impact my entire body, like a big drum has just been hit, and my soul seems to take the impact. Continue reading “Death”
